Emax es09md Anyone running this servo? Looks to be within 1mm of size to the es08, but stronger, and digital instead of analog. |
Re: Emax es09md Looks like it might fit, case dimensions do appear almost identical to the 08ii. You might have guinea pig it for us.. |
Re: Emax es09md so....... no one? |
Re: Emax es09md Anyone know if the fact it is digital will matter? I know some radios won't play well with digital stuff. Or vice versa |

Using a savox servo in that, it would toggle from left middle right just fine. The EM08 analog ones also did not like the flysky GT5 4WS receiver. It would jump around when I would switch the 4WS mode (on, off, crab, etc). They do work fine with a signal reverser though. Strong little servos. But not electronics friendly IMO. |

Well, I would try the digital. Dont get me wrong. The analog one works fine for normal single use. They just didnt like being used in the AUX port if you were going for 4WS. They didnt like my GT5 receiver with 4WS setup either. Those are the only two limitations I ran into with mine. I also tried a savox digital one and it worked fine in the AUX port and with the flysky GT5 in 4WS setup. So if I was going to order one, I would probably try the digital. In fact, I kind of want too now! |
Re: Emax es09md I just ordered an ES09MD, I'll get back to you in two weeks to see if it fits lol. It has nearly the same measurements as ES08 so a bit of shaving should be enough. I'll have the Shapeways ES08 mount too. |
Re: Emax es09md Quote:
Shapeways is doing a sale right now |
Re: Emax es09md Did you get it yet? Haha, I know it has only been 6 days, but I'm impatient. |

Re: Emax es09md Bummer guys. Once mine goes out, that will be the one I buy next. |
Re: Emax es09md The only concern I have with the ES09D is that it doesn't have metal gears. Does it really need it? Maybe not. But for me at least, I'd rather not have that as a weak link in the build. Since it's a micro, I doubt there's much advantage in running a digital servo vs an analog. But of course I'll be the first to say I could be wrong. |

Re: Emax es09md Quote:
Thank you for mentioning that. I almost bought 2 just to try digital over the analog I have. |

There we go! Boom! "thumbsup" |
Re: Emax es09md well, I ordered one.... |
Re: Emax es09md Says my servo has shipped usps and should be here friday |
Re: Emax es09md Quote:
The shapeways ES08 mount works too and has less of a gap between the mount itself and the servo holes but it isn’t necessary. |
Re: Emax es09md Would any of you guys know where to get a servo horn , these have a very course spline , can't seem to find and information to order some , I'd appreciate any info , Thanks |
Re: Emax es09md Did you break or lose the ones it came with? At this scale the stock white ones work good. So far at least |

Of course I am a delivery associate for amazon so....... but amazon is just so much easier, and prime delivery isn't like ebays well it might be here in 5 days - 30 days, lol |
Re: Emax es09md Guess I'll try to epoxy one on , had done it before with good results |
Re: Emax es09md Surprisingly my LHS carries these servos. I picked up the ES09MD and it fit by using longer screws. I may order the larger servo mount for the EMax servos off of shapeways. Its one powerfull servo for this truck. The only issue I have is after maybe 2 minutes of running the servo acts likes the horn isn't centered right. Once I turn the truck off/on again it will center properly. It has done this since I bought the truck though so I'm thinking it may be the radio. Any suggestions on this? |

Re: Emax es09md So..... does anyone have aftermarket horns that work for this? I haven't gone through my bin yet but did stop by my lhs right before they closed. All I found were too large |
Re: Emax es09md tried some at the lhs today.... nothing fit |
