Hey guys I just got my first crawler. I got a Axial RTR kit. I purchased a novak 55t motor, 12t pinion, hammer tires, split battery mount. I was wondering if I could get a set-up from somebody. I dont know what springs or weight fluid to run, or if there are some other need to get parts. Im going to try to make it to some of the events but I also race 1/8 buggy and 1/10 truck in the MNRC so Im not sure how many events I will be able to make. I live in Eau Claire, WI so if anybodys around the area lmk. Thanks Joe |

With the hammers, do not trim the foam at all, leave them full. I would run the stock springs, and put some extra limiters on the shocks. Other then that, run it stock first and see how it does. That way as you make changes, you will see how they affect the trucks handling.

Joe, If Casey is splainin it to me right, you are only about 5 or so miles from me (I'm on the North end of the Airport about a mile from the control tower). I have a test course almost finished in the back yard (large one at that) I would be more than happy to hook you up/help out....

Sounds good TJB. I'm hoping to make to the next event on the 13. I should have it ready to go, lol. I buy a RTR then replace everything, I should have known better. What are people using for body posts? The rtr ones are wayyyy to long for the rockstar body.

Im going to just try cutting my old post to fit for now. Last night I was crawling around outside for the first time and pulled the bottom out of the axial shocks. I heard this is normal. So I ordered the Losi set. Anybody running springs inside under the pistions ?
