Howl Crawl thread... So, who is going to make it? The parking is limited and to make it the best we can, we should talk about it. Here is my list... 2 scalers (one at least waterproofed)...Troy is too fun to not follow around. At least 2 batteries per truck as spares. Backpack to carry all truck stuff around in. Snacks and water...maybe a peanut butter jelly (time"thumbsup") sandwich. You get the idea. You want to be able to carry all your "needed" stuff down with you to the site. There is many stairs to climb when you forget something. It is a sick scaler location. Lot's to do and plenty to play on. See ya there? Ryan |
I will be there I will be there with all my "needed" stuff. |
I'll be there "thumbsup" We've got some new plans up our sleeves for this year  |
radio question I am wondering haw many people will be running standard radios with a channel? |
I'm in I want to try my new dig I'll be getting it next week. I'm also going to bring my scale truck. |
I'll be there. |
hopeing to have something ready to run. ???But plan on being there to check out the rigs if nothing else. Hopefully the replacent parts for my dig will be here... |
Wel, let's see some of the rigs going to make it for the Howl Crawl. I am going to bust out the first Highlift I bought. It is STILL in the same condition as these photos from over a year ago! Well, I will have the tires cleaned up and remounted. Not waterproof, but also don't care if it gets wet... http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...r/IMG_1104.jpg http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...r/IMG_1116.jpg Here is a pic from last year's Howl Crawl. http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...r/DSC02766.jpg Maybe the Silverado can make it? http://i124.photobucket.com/albums/p...r/IMG_1415.jpg |
where is the howl crawl and how do i get there |
http://mn-rcrc.com/index.php?option=...details&did=15 It's a scaler event, pics and thread from last time. http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showt...l+crawl&page=3 |
What time does the fun start? |
Well, I figured I would post the pics here, since this is the unoffical thread for the Howl Krawl spot. First up is the Nickelpimp Ridge area. There is a large tree right in and over our pathway. Walking is dangerous. Proceed with caution! http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7497.jpg There are lot's of leaves covering the trail as well. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7500.jpg Here is Pickle Limp's first fall. This one would have been REALLY bad if the tree would have lent a helping branch. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7501.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7503.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7507.jpg We wondered around for a little while, checking out some "hillclimb" areas. We replaced some packs and headed down the hill to the water. Yeah Troy was first in and last out. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7515.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7520.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7524.jpg Gotta love the fall colors. This is only the waters reflection. Splended day... http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7521.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7527.jpg This little area looks very promising for a "follow the leader" type course. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7533.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7542.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7551.jpg http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7558.jpg And yes there is PLENTY of mud to go in, through, and around...just follow Troy. http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/m...s/IMG_7547.jpg |
I was thinking about attending the Howl Krawl until I saw some of these pictures. Me and mudd don't get along. By that I mean If there is mudd I have to go through it and I HATE cleaning afterwerds. Great pictures, but now I am SCEEERED. |

Truth is Tony probably only Troy the "Mayor of Bedrock" will most likely mud bog as many others fell like you about mud. Our mayor was actually considered by the McCain campaign as a possible running mate until they found out about his "Mud Thing" 8) they had no choice but to give Sarah a call. |

Awww, a lil ol mud is nothing  If you're waterproofed, all you do is drive through some clean water before you leave, or just put it in the laundry tub and wash R off. These lil guys are nothing, try washing down a full size mudder  You guys don't know what you're missing "thumbsup" |

I am still up in the air about going this year, really don't like the location my self. Looks like you found a few better spots, but still can't avoid the sewer stink. |
"Guess that smell" is something we can all play along as you drive. Don't be silly here guys, this is a fun spot. Mike you BETTER be there. Come on assholes, it isn't any worse then a car ride to Oklahoma."thumbsup" The mud isn't something you HAVE to go through, you can pick it up and go around, just like you do in 1:1, right Mike? Ryan |
wierd I thought the mud was the reason for going. |
looks like pickle limp's trucks were sit'n out at inspiration point on one of the pics... you exxxpecting a few more rigs there kevin? |
