Hey Mikey, are those stock gears in a VP case? How many packs did they last?

I believe he had the hot racing gears. He might be able to clarify that though. IMO it looked to be a bearing failure. There is one 8mm left that you can see in the pic. All that was left was the two races when he pulled it apart. It looks like the vanquish link mounts are needed because they will replace the 8mm bearing with a 10mm.

I have stock gears inside vanquish housings and motor plates and have had zero issues. I have many hrs on my crawler at this points with countless binds.

No they were hot racing gears with stock spool gear. Yes it was a bearing failure... Lasted over 30 packs

It now has axial HD spool gear. 1 stock transfer gear and the rest HR. The stock one broke already.

Ordered all axial machined gears. they will be here tomorrow.

Pull up your panties Sally. j/k. They did play out a bit more challenging than we thought they would, but we were trying to step up the challenges a bit since we're nearing the finals.

A bit they were a little rough. I think only 3 finished course 1.
Challenging is good 95% of the trucks not getting past gate 3 or 4 not as good

I forgot to wear any. Makes wearing a pad that much harder.

He got a 24 with the bonus for course I scored not sure what course it was but it was the dreaded gate 3 course. He ran over gate one hit gate 3 so there was 20 right there.

I had forgot the first gate but added it after.

Course #1 for the 1.9 class & my first vid using my mini hd camera mounted to the truck. Stock plastic rear diff locker broke near gate 2 but still had fun. All 3 lockers are metal now.

So did you find the Axial machined gears for a desent price? Vanquish is talking a gear set as well, but I'm sure they will have a hefty price.

Well I'm all axial machined gears now, trans gears, transfer gear, and spool gear. Vp cases and motor plate. Vp upper link mounts and 8mm bushings up top in the link mount. Axial gears=not cheap. Worth it... We will see. Aside from the vp axle top I'm built as strong as it can get.

I had I good run with the setup I had. I put my rig through a beating especially on 4s. I was never nice to it, but two bearing failures in the same day put me over the top in the pissed off category. So I ordered all axial gears and 8mm bushings when I got home Sunday. It's all back together. Fresh motors and everything.
