Default Manny's MULTI-AXLE Project

Most of the scale trucks that I have built are pretty much straight forward since most parts are readily available online.
It may require some minor modifications in order to fit,
but nothing that requires bigger tools or equipment and SKILLS that most of you guys have done so far.
Those are my inspiration!

This time, I am going to build something big.

Something that would require more than 2 axles and a chassis out of straight aluminum flat bar.
First thing in my mind is to find a scale drawing to follow.
I want to build something that is exact to scale as much as possible that my skill level would allow and deliver.

And this is what I got,
Looking forward to you guys helping me out on this project;

Let's start with this:

Next step is to borrow 4 axles from my 2 SCX10 and start mirroring the axle 2 and 3

I agree it would be an epic
But in order not to bore you guys,
I divided the build thread into 4 phases

PHASE 1 - Chassis assembly
SCX axle mirroring...though seems the stock SCX10 shocks are a bit too long

Shock mounts

4-link mounts and links

and wheels+tires
Finally arrived

PHASE 2 - Transmission assembly
Not sure yet if I'm going to use all of that transfer case

PHASE 3 - Electronics
ESC and motor selection

PHASE 4 - Cab assembly
Here's a mock up on my first trial using a greyboard to try out the layout

What you think guys?

It is 1004mm for now,
Just following the length on the specs above,
Not sure yet if I'm going to make it shorter,
The bed most likely will be flat for now,
Too many choices playing in my mind now,
Cant decide yet

Thanks Will
I haven't focus on the cab details yet,
That cab picture is a bit short for an SX built,
Will do some CAD work on it to resemble as close as possible on the specs above

Thank you guys
Phase 1 is actually moving fast except that my camera is not,
Pictures will be posted soon,

Tire mounting is a LOVE and HATE thing though,
It just taking to much time due to some tire beads are a bit bigger that the wheels
It's a bit a good challenge on my patience

it's a roller now and phase 1 almost complete
Had installed the steering servos, R2 tranny and motor,
Need to lower the transfer case though to get a better angle on the punisher shaft,

Find an engine on a junkyard too,
It's a Ford v8 1/5,
Still hunting for a MAN version ,if not I'll just have repainted
and fit it inside the cab.

My intention for cab is to have a servo operated linkage,
So it can flip forward for easy access on the engine compartment,
