| OD/UD Gears for 6x6
Hey everyone, Just planning a 6x6 build that I'll be starting shortly. I have some used & built scx10 axles I'll throw in this build with some parts to make a 3rd axle. These are currently running stock ratio HD gears up front with UD rears. Can I just buy another UD set for the tandem rear axle? Or do I need to run the same gearing front and rear because of the potential weight of these trucks? Planning on running a HH 2200kv puller pro and MMP for the setup so should have plenty of power, but I've never built anything potentially this heavy before either. Any input is greatly appreciated. |

My 6x6 is on ar60s but I'm sure it doesn't make much of a difference. I've got overdrive gears up front and stock in the rears, I didn't want to have too big of a difference of ratio from front to rear. Since the truck is so long you don't really have to worry about it flipping backwards, mostly just helps with the turning radius. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk |
