Exclamation idealconceptz 1.9 scx10 6x6 scale rig

Looking fo some info and pointers. This is my first 6x6 build and now that the chassis is finished and I've driven it for the first time it's now onto the wheels body and scale appearance. I'm posting some pics but these are mock up nothing is set in stone and there is always room for improvement.

I've removed the rock sliders and dingo front bumper until I figure out what body to use.

Looking at the rear link setup, looks like you should mount them to the frame as close to the middle axle as possible. I did the same thing on mine and had lots of help from people on here. Check out some of these multi axle builds on here. You can find some valuable info.
By the way, the build looks awesome!

Alright makes sense... so I checked out some of the archive pics and some of the current builds. I mounted the upper links to the chassis, this does help out with rear axle articulation. The only thing I see done differently over and over is the lower links. Should I go chassis mount on them as well or go with the axle to axle set up...???? I definitely appreciate the in depth look, thanks for the pointers!

Thumbs up Re: idealconceptz 1.9 scx10 6x6 scale rig

so I decided to test articulation before and after. Mounting all the links to the chassis closest to the center line of the axle not only works better but helped me fix the drive shaft angle thanks for the help and pointers everyone!

Exclamation Re: idealconceptz 1.9 scx10 6x6 scale rig

Ok so I figured I'm going for a cab forward look. Alot of things come to mind unimog, MAN ETC... Looking for some good ideas and maybe some places to find these bodies. I'm definitely probing some of the build threads but any pointers would be great.

looks like the only thing easily accessible is going to be a unimog body so going to be rockin the flat bed and the unimog front half.

lovin the globe liner body just worried abt the 1/14 scale aspect hows the size in comparison to the 1/10 unimog or topkick bodies?? Will it look good next to a 1/10 scx10 body on the trail...? Thanks for the feedback!

I did some measuring and picked up the globe liner. It's a hard body with lots of scale appeal, it should be arriving monday can't wait to start mounting and painting!!
