I still wonder what happened to all the Reno guys. There were massive clubs here I was looking to get involved about a year ago but didn't have money for quality rigs. Now I have rigs and it looks like there is no club.

Ive been looking for the same thing.... im about 30 minutes south of Reno. I never hear about anyone doing anything...

Yeah it is weird. Im going to go talk to the owner o HC&M hobbies this weekend and see what happened. Minden isn't to far away from Reno. What kind of rc toys are you playing with? I have an scx10 and so do my buddies who go out and play.

sounds like yall need to start your own little comp series, and maybe we can do a joint thing 2-3 times a year. where we take turns meeting on either side.

vegas was pretty dead when i deployed about 6 months ago, and what crawlers there was were all comp rigs. i come back to 4times the scalers in town. I think alot of it is foot work mate. the board only goes so far.... gotta get out and talk to people.

Opposite problem up here doublej. There were 2 large clubs here in Reno. I don't know what has happened to them.

Might be because it is cold as balls there and everyone is hibernating for the winter. Same thing happens in SOCAL and AZ in the summer, around September people come out of their RC burrows and starts foraging for batteries and wheels...

Post up a craigslist add in reno looking for people to scale with in toy section. I see there stuff on craigslist all the time. Did you check on Recon crawlers forum..?

Maybe they got stuck somewhere on a trail run and is waiting for someone to find them. J/K That sucks. Maybe Road trip out here in Vegas in the near future?

recon is still goin strong there's a new website not sure if u saw it ill put the link up. nevada state champioship quali is comin up there's a G6 and a new comp format comp the weekend of the 10th in forest hill at sugar pine res.

Dewayne(prusik333) and I will get together quite often. And occasionally we hook up with the Winnemucca group. We'll try to post up on here before we get together next time. Always good to get more people together. Maybe we can plan a day at Prison Hill. Kind of mid way between us.

we are doing crawl comps in reno every wednesday. I have a post in the competition forum and here as well as on recon. let us know. we have scalers and would love to do some scale runs although most of us are more into comping although RECON is doing G6 scaler competitions every month. check out the forum link that catpwrd posted.

I wish I would have known about this before I left Reno. Trying to get my buddy to leave too. The group in Portland is awesome and super nice. :)

IM here in Reno and run once a week with 2-3 other guys....We go to spots all over...Sparks, reno. The river, Snakebite trail and a few schools...LMK..

I love to go crawling but it's hard to get away very often because I have two small children and a very needy wife. If I can go early in the morning it is better for me. I just went out to Moon Rocks for the first time last weekend and it was awesome! I was surprised that there was no one else out there that day as it was perfect weather. I guess we are so few that if you DO want to get some of us together you have to start asking people about a week in advance.

I'm down with running my comp rig tomorrow afternoon/mid day.
