Does anyone here Open carry or have their concealed carry

I was going to start to Open carry since its perfectly legal here in NV, but since I live in the very "special" city of NLV it would be illegal to have a deadly weapon in my vehicle per

9.32.080 - Deadly Weapon Prohibited in Vehicle—Exceptions.
It is unlawful for any person to have in his possession in any automobile, truck, motorcycle, or any other
type of vehicle any dangerous or deadly weapon, but this restriction shall not be deemed to prohibit the
carrying of ordinary tools or equipment carried in good faith for uses of honest work, trade or business, or for
the purpose of legitimate sport or recreation.

And yes NLVPD are arresting people for this regardless of the fact that state preemption trumps it but thats not the conversation I'm after in this post lol

So looks like If i want to carry my weapon farther than walking distance from my house I'll be getting my CC permit. I just wanted some input from people who have one or have gone through the process of getting one, what all do I have to do?

I don't have my CCW yet. Sent in the application, just waiting now.

I do open carry from time to time. Here in henderson no one even bats an eye.
