Default NOW what?

OK I am wondering where to go from here.

I have tlt axles, moddified stock chassis, stock shocks, pede tran, 645m servo, moab's.
Now i need an esc, remote, crystal and battery
I've been reading a lot on here and i'm just a little lost about what to get. It is a budget build. I plan on upgrading some of the things later on so should i just go cheap and upgrade the esc or recievers later? Or am i jsut out of luck. how much will i be looking at?

Hunt ebay for a TQ3, they can be found at very reasonable prices (I paid 40 bucks last time I got one)

A crawl-worthy esc is where you'll spend money. You could go with whatever you can pick up cheap, but I guarantee you'll be disapointed with it's performance once you start discovering what your rig will do and go for more difficult terrain. Ebay always has ESC's up, but personally I'm always nervous about buying used electronic components sight-unseen from who-knows-who. Last time I needed an ESC I picked up a Novak Rooster Crawler from TCS for 90 bucks. It is a solid unit for crawling purposes.

Battery-wise, start with stock TLT packs or simple stick packs from your lhs. Cheap and effective...

Heres a Few ESC you should look at: Moped R16v Bravo, Mamba Max or Mamba 25, Tekin Rebel 2, Novak Rooster Crawler, Novak Rooster. Just a few that ive ran personally, i like the Mamba Max the best

I ran an Mtroniks RV15 for a while. It was cheap, like 30-35 bucks if I remember correctly.

Other than only putting out 50% power in reverse, it did ok...
