Default ARTR flaws

the only flaws i can find about the ARTR is that the springs are a little stiff, & not all metal hardware. The first upgrade i plan to get for the ARTR is losi crawler shocks with longer rod ends, & i think that will do for the time being. Sufficient upgrades are included anyway.

I bought the same truck, I put 7 1/2 onces of weight in each front wheel with two vent hole, in the rear I put 3 ounces and two vent holes. This was a great upgrade. Next I put on the losi shocks with 50wt oil and the white springs and made a good change. At the same time I upgraded the steering links to alum. Last I put on tcs four link plates front and rear with the axial 55mm alum arms and the rod end from the tc1 body I slammed down on it by lowering it 3/4 of a inch. Now it really amazed me what this thing will do. I run a intergy lathe 65t on a 3cell lipo thourgh the stock esc and stock servo. The servo is way to weak and I know my esc's day's are numbered but I am loving it. So much that I just ordered a Gatekeeper 2 Chassie. Almust forgot I moved my lower inks to inside the frame because they kept getting hung up. Still using stock lowers and really can see why 30 deg links in the rear would be a great help on steep step ups.

Good luck and enjoy

are you talking about the RTR or ARTR, because the ARTR already comes with alum steering links, alum lower & upper links.

Yeah i do plan to put weights in the wheels, or fit a split 8 cell 2/3A pack on the front axle, but fit weights to the rear wheels. ive also been thinking of moving the lower links inside the chassis plates, i do hear alot of ppl doing that because they keep getting hung up...

My friend just got his artr together and in the first 5 min it broke the front drive shaft. Seems like a factory defect though.

the axial stock drive shafts are notorius for this problem.
basically, if you're using stock drive shafts you should have a spare after market set in your tool box or have a set in the process of being delivered
