i've been beating a pede for a while. finally got the crawler bug and am still wondering what to start with. i've been thinking about just getting the axial artr and setting my elecs into for the time being. i know i'll need a better servo to start with as traxxas pedes are pretty weak compared to crawler type servos but where from here? i like the idea of the longer chassis and lower profiles of some i've seen here but have not idea what brand or if i should just get the axial platform and build from there. axial just seems to high where some that i've seen not only have lower CG but also seem more compact thusly giving a lower profile. here is what i'm thinking for motor and such. HS-645MG High-Torque 2BB Metal Gear Servo Matrix Pro Lathe Motor 55T Single Novak Rooster Crawler Brushed ESC for the time being, i'll probably just use the receiver and esc from one of the pedes laying around and just get an axial 55t unless there really is a difference between this and other favorably prices motors - or if i should get a 45t like the LHS guy said. i know i'll be upgraded and over time be left with nohting axial/stock on the rig but well, i just don't know where to start. sorry if this is in the wrong area, thnx! move if needed i guess, thnx. |

All the part's you've listed will work fine. I had almost that same setup, but have since upgraded all except my novak 55 motor.
