Question Waterproof ESC

Hi,
I'm building a e-maxx crawler. I looking to put a 45t lathe motor and using? the e/maxx trans. Would the traxxas xl-5 waterpoof esc work or the xl-10. I really want the esc to be waterproof. I'll take any opinions. Also using 4200mah nimh 6cell batteries.

For general knowledge:

You have to really pay attention to what the ESC can handle as you go down on turns, up isn't as big of a deal.

Someone PLEASE correct me if I'm wrong.

it's the low turn motors you got to worry about not the high turns.
