| HELP with batt. size
I just got a AX10 kit from a guy I work with, it's got a novak 55t motor and rooster crawler ESC, it's all brand new, got it for 150 BONES :-P I've been looking at these on the net and they are 250 just for the AX10 kit, 110 for motor and ESC kit. well I'm new at this electric car stuff he couldn't find the info. on what batt. to put in this crawler can anyone be of HELP and tell me what size would be good for this setup as for, do I go with a Lipo or NmH please HELP:-? I want to start crawling.

I would recommend a 2 cell lipo (7.4v) with a capacity of about 1250mah or 1500mah. Get a short pack (67mm long or so)so that it will easily fit on the axle after you build an axle tray for the servo and battery....or just buy JETBOATs BTA kit and that will give you a place for this type of Lipo. DO NOT DO A 3 CELL on that ESC.

I run the eFlight 2 Cell 1250mah from RCSLOT on my Novak Goat powered scaler.....they work great. You may be able to source these at a local hobby shop as well. You will just need to cut off the stock end and solder on whatever end you use on your ESC. (I recommend using deans)

On my scaler with the 1250mah 2cell thru a Novak Goat system and a Futaba Hit torque Brushless steering servo I get about 40 minutes.

Novaks brushless goat system, futaba 1650 servo. 1650mha 2-cell . About an hour of continuious crawling.
