Default Noob tyre question. Vented or not?

Just bought and built a Kyosho Rock Force, pretty cool bit of kit, kind of limited by the RC kit really. I have a 20kg servo on steering duty and it's still struggling.
This kind of leads me to my next question. I noticed the wheels have no vent holes in like my nitro buggy does, so given the fact that flatter tyres are supposed to grip more, I put a hole in each wheel to let the tyres find their own levels.

Should I have done this or should I be seeking a totally sealed tyre?

I'll put my other questions in the relevant forums. I just wanted to say hello

Definately vented. Non vented will bounce, and you don't want that with crawling. Also, with beadlocks, if somehow the air should get out of the tire it wont be able to get back in, so you would have to take the beadlock ring off to let that air back in the tire.

My logic exactly. Thanks for confirming it.

Bouncing is a big problem right now until my 150 oil is delivered to replace the rather gooey 300 that the shop gave me.

I just put four little holes in each of my tires at equal distances apart. That way if you get your tires wet it will fling out instead of being trapped inside.
