| venom creeper or axial ARTR?
Ok guys Im new to rc crawling and was thinking about these two crawlers, I already have a cliff climber but its to small. What I was wondering is which one of these would be the better at crawling out of the box if they had the same electronics on them? Thanks-J.c.

Have you thought about the new RTC? It has a 55t motor and really good shocks that give it a good ride height (ground clearance) It will get you going quickly/affordably then just upgrade as needed. Venom is crap! That would be my first choice if I was new. |

The axial does have more parts availible , but the venom is not crap. Out of the box venom has better suspention and tighter steering and just as much articulation. You need to upgrade any thing, thats how the hobby works, and the Axial does have more out there. So if your looking to get something to put alot of upgrades on then go Axial, If looking to grow slower and work at it a little at a time when upgrades come out ,then go creeper I have a creeper and love it,getting better every day. |

i have the artr and i love it, my buddy has the creeper and he loves it. we both make it up about the same stuff, and get stuck in about the same spots, but the creeper definatly has more flex. they are both great if you ask me, but the down side to the venom is that it is hard to get parts for. the local hobby store has all kinds of axial stuff, but almost nothing for the creeper

| Axial is great
I am a total noob to crawling i got the axial ax 10 kit. Local hobby shops stock barely any for it but online theres definatelt a lot of choices for upgrades. I built it as stock as it gets and have have alot of fun. I'm constantly researching and working on mods with current and new parts but run the truck or work on it everyday since i got it even if its for a half hour to an hour, that how addicting the ax10 with support of parts and info from forums like this is. I know its a dime a dozen but id go axial for out of the box , aftermarket support, and parts.

I would think that you would want to buy the rig that needs th LEAST amount of upgrades(saving you money), that being said the venom OUT OF THE BOX beats the hell out of the axial. I have both and have ran both alot, I just took another 1st place on saturday with the venom, there is only a few upgrades for the venom but I have beat the hell out of mine and broke only a few plastic c-hubs a knuckle (both have alum upgrades avail. now) and a handful of (cheap) cvd pins. These people that say venom is crap are sadly mistaken. Look around at all the axials for sale...ever wonder why?

Amen on that bro! get a green star and get into the for sale section. Buy one of the RTR used comp rigs for sale-- you'll save a ton of $$ and have something that is ready to go. Don't worry, you'll still work on it alot! | |

i think I like the venom. I know two guys that just got them and I think they are pretty nice. I have the AX and although its not bad, there are just some nice touches that come on the venom out of the box.
