motor question

wondering if anybody could help me with a small problem.
i was wondering where the pos and neg posts are on my Integy Lathe Motor 55 Turn Single Wind there is like six spots that look rite but im not sure. :| (pictures would be great)

rctrucknut 02-18-2008 04:24 PM

hello, im using the same motor, your positive &negative should be stamped on the endbell side where you solder wires on. youll see a plus symbol or minus symbol. &solder accordingly. hope this helps. :)

If you can't find the + and - just solder them in place on a tab next to each brush braid. You can control the direction (f-r) by a swith on your controller. On a DC motor polarity doesn't mean much.

wedjim 07-26-2008 09:18 PM

Polarity means a TON if the motor uses any timing. If it is a zero degree motor, then it doesn't matter, since brush spring tension and brush compounds should be the same + to - .

Not a pulling or crawling guru, by any means, but i've been around electric motors almost all my life. :)

Note, if you find a + or a - symbol near either brush hood(the metal part the brushes and springs are on) then you can solder to any metal part of the hood with the correct wire and it will work. One entire side is positive and one entire side is negative, both are insulated from each other.

need help

what is a good set of crawler tires:?:

Axial Scorpion RTR conversion

I bought a Axial Scorpion RTR to see if I would like the hobby, low and behold I can't stop. I've upgraded the tires to Pro-Line Flat Irons w/mem foam and the chassis has been up graded to the SWX. The chassis looks to narrow for a dig unit. Any sugggestions...

The VF/DNA dig bolts right up to the stock AX10 transmission, which bolts right up to the stock SWX skid plate. Everything should fit fine with a standard lathe motor. "thumbsup"

Thank You for Compiling the Resources.

Trail Hound 03-21-2009 06:02 PM

shocks

Once again i'm back for more! With so many different shocks on the market can you give me the low down on adjustable shocks for an axial with SWX chassis (awsome design by the way). Some say Losi and some say Traxx shocks. What should I be looking for when shopping shocks?

tanner202 04-01-2009 07:46 AM

i have a set of emberg shocks that i am putting on a wheely king DNA chasis i noticed that it was really stiff when i put the shocks on the chasis what would be a good weight of oil to put in them to soften them up:lol:
