Well its a RTR. You get cheaper stuff on it. Such as no threaded shocks. The chassis is not tunable, the shocks mount to the batteries plate kinda like the Losi MRC. Doesn't come with a front and rear Dig tranny. The only good item I can say is the Lights, if ya like crawlin at night. And the HD Axles that they come standard. But what do ya expect its a RTR. Pull it out of the box and run it. I have over 1k into my Losi CC. For $340, or whatever they charge for it, you have something that can hit the rocks from day one. |

As stated from above, i would go with the night crawler if you it is more of a here and now type of the thing. but the comp crawler is the way to go if you want to comp and crawl alot... the rtr is a cc but everything on it was degraded in value

When I first saw the night crawler I was excited. Thought it was great they were offering the 1/10 crawler in a ready to go form. However, they had to make too many concessions to keep the price point reasonable, and lost a lot of what was COOL about the comp crawler. I'd still lean towards Losi over the axial, but thats mostly based on brand preference and thinking worm gear axles are awesome. |

If you don't plan on comping (or at least not right now) then I would go Axial. Worm gears are inefficent and will suck batteries. You can get a couple nice packs and run the Axial for a couple HOURS. The Losi is going to half that or less. I do like the Night Crawler, but would still prefer the Axial for a fun bash rig. | |

You could use either, both are legal. Honestly a stock night crawler might be more competitive than a stock Axial RTC though but it would be close.

What if you put a driveshaft dig on the Night Crawler. Should be alot cheaper than the axial to be comp ready.

| LCC trans = Losi Comp Crawler transmission. If you upgrade to Eritex Inc.'s MOA (motor on axle) conversion you do away with Losi's stock transmission and running gear, which makes them spare parts that may be available for sale. No idea on the price though.

go with the nightcrawler. I got one last weekend and it is pretty good ran it with my friends axials and theres couldnt keep up. I ran a 2 cell 5000 mah lipo and it never came close to sucking the battery dead. To me its as close to the lcc as you can. Get i have both and the nightcrawler was just as good all i am doing to mine for now is putting the lcc metal parts on it. But your choice i know people are hung up on axial but from what i have seen the nightcrawler is a little better
