| AX10 scorpion or HPI Crawler King? http://www.axialracing.com/ftp/ax10rtr/ http://www.hpieurope.com/kit-info.ph...&partNo=102117 I cannot really decide which of the two models is the best. Can you help me with some advice? I am a bit interested in which of the two models I can run on little snow or mud. Thanks |

Buy yourself an ax10 in kit form(around $170). Then go on e-bay and buy a traxxas tq3 radio and reciever (about $20) and a moped speed control (search moped on the electronics thread) and a 55turn motor (about another $20). In the end you will have about the same amount in everything that you'd have in the Axial RTR but what you will have is so much better. Plus you will have the knowledge gained in building the kit.

I got the ax 10 kit awesome to know how to build it. I got a receiver from my friends traxxas. i bought a tekin FX-R 55t motor combo and a nimh battery. One thing i hate about the ax10 kit is the body. So ill be getting a tuber asap. I tried crawling at a local place and it wouldn't go anywhere cause i don't have correct wheel weights. I saw a Losi comp crawler and it looked SWEET. I wish i would have gone that route instead.

When you put new weights on your wheels...do yourself a favor and put some rovers or cougars on and get rid of the lizards or hammers that the kit came with. Mine had hammers and they wouldn't grip anything. I bought 4 cougars with memory foams from TCS and I can say it is the best $29 I spent.
