| kits?
I know both the axial models come in kits, are there any other crawlers that come in kits that need to be assembled?

Or you can do like ALOT of us do is buy axles and a transmission etc etc etc and build your own truck from the ground up. Its the way I like to build my crawlers . Axial sells axles and transmission separately. Skys the limit if you wanna build a crawler and you meet alot of people on the awesome forum. |

Tamiya has a kit for 3 different types of vehicles that are on the CC-01 chassis.

This sounds like a good idea, but seems like it will get expensive real fast... axles are 35-40 a piece, 35-40 for a trans, 50 for beadlocks, 35-40 for tires. I'm already up to 160 and I don't have any of the pieces to connect it all together... does that stuff end up cheap? or am I missing something here? Also I am not against this idea... it sounds like a lot of fun, is there a thread here where this has kind of been laid out a little bit for the first time crawler? I mean when your end product is crawling I guess it's okay to crawl to get there | |
