Default Are panels a MUST have in 1.9 comps?

i got a roll cage on my MRC and havent been in comps yet, mainly because im buying new electrics, but do you have to have panels on a roll cage to be in comps? thanks

If it's a tuber then yes you'll need side panels, a roof and a hood

well the side panels are there to help you out so the rocks slide on them and they dont get caught in the frame. and they add som personal flair to. and you could always just keep the lexan clear

I used some flashing I got from Home Depot...can cut it with a scissors and looks cool... Here is a pic right after I finished putting it on

I used pop cans.

Can opener on top, cut down a side, then cut around the bottom. Also if you roll them the other way that they curve and add a rubber band they flatten more. BE CAREFULL THE METAL EDGES ARE SHARP. I KNOW FIRST HAND

Hey ghostkid, thats a great idea, Im waiting for my proline tuber to come in, I was wondering what to use for some panels, I know that I can buy some thats made for it but I dont like the way the hood looks.....

Here is the panels that I did. I went to my local hobby store and bought some thin stainless steel. I cut them with tip snips, used a punch to make the holes and zip tied it together. Added some decals I found laying around.
