How do I get out of newbie Purgatory so that it doesn't take over a week for my new threads to display? I appreciate that new users need to be moderated but for how long - this isn't usable... :-(

Never heard of threads being "approved" before posted. What were they about?

This is new to me as well. Try PMing a Mod and see what they say. -Jason |

That only happens when you try to create a thread without being logged in.

Actually, it happens all the time, I'm just so swift no one notices. Sometimes. I believe it's after 5 posts. You're setting off an alarm of sorts with some key words or links and then you're flagged. Then I find it, and approve it. |

On my first ever post to the Losi micro crawler forum, I posted some pix of my home crawling setup and they seemed to appear instantly. Shortly after, I posted a new forum thread (micro wish list). After clicking submit, the page briefly mentioned something about moderators, and then redirected me to the forum. It took between 1-2 weeks for the post to become visible on the forum. I posted a reply to an older topic (DT springs) today and saw the same moderation page, and was again redirected to the micro forum. My post has still not appeared... Is it because I'm including URLs to external product listings that is causing the problem. The two posts that have been delayed both included links to vendor sites as part of my questions. Incidently, my new topic post in this forum appeared immediately.

Good to know - I'll be careful about my links in the future. I think I came off a little adversarial in my first post as well - didn't mean that.

All good. I found a post of yours in need of approval and approved it. Let me know if you need anything else. |
