Default four wheel steer? haters welcome!

i have a venom creeper to start off. i do not want to run a dig unit. im running a 3 channel radio and receiver. c1 is steering. c2 is throtle. and three is a on/off switch. any ideas on how to run it with the on off switch?
i dont care if its not a good idea its just something to try. more of a wow factor haha

if your 3rd channel is only a 2 position switch your kind of SOL in the independent control of rear steer. If its a TQ3 or MX3 or another radio that can be modded for a 3 POS switch then after a little soldering it wouldn't be difficult at all. But if you ever decide to compete you will need to lock it out or remove it to be legal.

You could also get a Y connector, but you'd be steering both ends at the same time.

y connector with a pico switch, you could have 4 wheel steer on or off.

yeah youd run the Y-harness through the switch, guess youd have to make sure your rear wheels where centered before you turned it off

Personally I have my light setup running off a toggle switch, with a micro servo switching it on or off.

pico switch would be easier though and they are cheap

so i would basicly run the two power wires to this and the ground to whatever. im running a traxxis receiver and controller for the time being so im trying to run it off of the thumb switch. and when i get my new stuff in running it off of that. and would it be better to run a 4 or even 5 channel setup before i buy anything

only problem with a on off switch is when its off theres no power to hold the servo centered, so as soon as you give it gas the wheels are going to turn.

your running a TQ3? traxxas radio? If so do the 3rd channel mod and be done its less then $15 to do and takes about 20 minutes and gives you a 3 position third channel. if you go to electronics stickies there is a really good write up

If you have a tq3 radio take out the red thumb switch, go to radio shack and get a toggle switch but make sure you get one that always returns to center, wire it up and good to go.
