| did i make a mistake?
did i screw up? I mounted my battery pack in the rear, I am using these large stick type packs. I know i should use a smaller pack but right know i'm using what i already own. I installed a Goat system to use the orion lipos i have, which should be awesome as far as run time they are 4800 packs. they are not as heavy as the nimh stick pack i have, but still pretty hefty. i did this because i also purchased the axial bta kit, and until i see how all that installed to fabricate a new front plate? would it be worth buying aluminum wheels to make the front heavy? am i going in the wrong direction here? also is it dangerous to have the electronics sitting up there on top with no protection? heres a pictures of what it looks like now.. |

I did the same thing, I wanted the wieght as low as possible and mounting the batt on top of the servo sort of defeats the purpose. I will change it once I can afford a new batt set up. I just weighted the front wheels with lead weights to balance out the front/rear weight ratio. Anyway crawl it, test it out and, if you like it then go with it... |

i ran my mini that way for a while didn't need to add weight to the rear that way plus i mounted the esc on the top of the rear links on a plate to keep the cog low
