i just bought an ax-10and im looking for some good help. ive been reading up on alot of mods. ive already put 8 ounces of weight in the front tires 4 ounces in the rear upgraded my steering servo to a hitec 645 notched the skid plate to put the lower links inside the chassis. today i bought a set of bent links i used the rod ends and pillow balls from the parts tree that came with my truck. my problem is the pillow balls are stiff in the rod ends and im not getting as good of articulation as i did with the stock links .what did i do wrong? i need some one with know how

You don't want to much articulation. It can really get you in a bind.

i know to much articulation is a bad thing but it flexed better right out of the box than it does now. the stock front links have some play in the rod ends and the new links are really stiff

Did you crank the nut/bolt that holds them on really tight? If so, loosen it up some, and it will flex smoother. With the plastic rod-ends too much torque on 'em and they smash up causing them to not move freely in the housing.

yeah i checked all that. ive over tightened the a arms on my t maxx before it seems like the pillow balls that came on the parts tree dont fit into the rod ends that were on the same parts tree should i just get aluminum pillow balls or what?

what i would recomend is traxxas ball ends. they com in a package of 20. you just need to watch out and noy mix the 4 short ones with the long ones. the best part with these, you have spares if you break one and are cheap. http://www.ckrccrawlers.com/traxxasr...set-p-217.html you should be able to find these at your local hobby shop.
