| Still confused. Can I use Receiver pack battery with another 2S lipo??
As the above mentioned, Can I use an extra receiver batt pack plugged to the receiver, while still using the normal 2S lipo with ESC? is that ok? is there a wire i shud take off? like take out red wire from the ESC to the receiver for example? I dont have CC BEC. well i had, blown already. this is a temporary fix - i will the cc bec for sure. BUT for now, i wanna know i can power my servo with the above setup? extra 6V receiver batt pack while using the main 2S lipo for the rest??? Thanks for any input. im really slow on this electrical stuff.. i just wanna drive |

Hi Yes you can use a battery pack to power the receiver. pull the red wire from the esc plug & you should be fine. but why not use the bec built in to esc? or are you using a big tourque servo? Last edited by big_boss; 10-20-2010 at 09:37 AM. |

Well... the time when my CC BEC burn is the same time my expensive ESC burn too ... u know, my own mistake.. plug wrongly the + - plug to the touring car type battery.. hahahaha... so both gone. now temporarily, using cheap ESC while waiting for new ESC shipment from this great crawler country. So with this cheap ESC for my MOA.. obviously the internal BEC will not be able to handle my torquey servo at only 5V. I need at least 6V so that's why i thought, why not power it using the recvr battery pack which is 6V nimh while the 2 motors get their power from the main 2S lipo thru the ESC. they wont be any problem right? | |

still confused... noob if this setup ok, why never heard or see others using this extra rcvr battery to power the servo??? u know like in the nitro setup ... just rcvr batt plug powering 2 servos ... but in this case... rcvr batt connected to rcvr to power the steering servo while the motors power from main pack like the lipo - connected to the esc??? im really stupe in this electrical stuff. help me clarify this |

That's how I run two of my scalers. One has a quarter scale servo and it is just fine.
