| Noob loking for Wise Gurus
Oh great and wise crawler Gurus. Hear my pleas. I am but a wanderer in the world of RC. For many years I have dabbled in the Non mobile art of model building. Learning the skills of modifying scratch building and kitbashing. I have always wished to graduate to Rc but alas had not the time nor money> Recently I accquired three Xmods which I have had some fun with. Street vehicles beeing what they are. I also accquired from a friend a 25 yr old Tamiya buggy kit in rough shape. I resurrected it added some bigger wheels and installed a set of salvaged bearings front and rear. Now I want to build a crawler/ offroad truck. I would like to scratch build the chassis and go from there. I wish to build in 1/24 scale as well but that is not a problemn. Guide me Oh Wise ones.

Look into the Losi Micro, they only sell RTR that I can find, but you can probably make use of some parts for your custom build.

| thanks Thanks for the info just for laughs I am going to try and attach some pics of the Tamiya buggy I fixed and modded. Believe it or not I made the front hubs from hard drive centre hubs and mounted them with the high speed sealed bearings. I also drilled out the rear axle to accept another set of bearings inboard and out. Also the off road lights are made from earphone buds Lego chrome light lenses with dollar store leds inside> fabbed two up have to build two more and wire them up. It is amazing what you can do with junk bits and leftovers. Sorry trying to start a home based business so if I am not on all the time or seem to be absent just give me a slap on the head and say wake up your missing something. Well just found out I cant post pics so bummer disregsrd the blather. |
