| SCX10 Axial High clearance knuckle+Universals VS. XR10 mod
I am running on my scx10 Axial High clearance knuckles + Universals and I get very good steering angle. is it worth it to go for the XR10 steering mod. I forgot to mention with the current set up the tires rub the shocks already.

Could you post a pic looking down from the top with the wheels at full lock please?

That's perfect. You can't get any more steering than that. Thanks for the pics!!

Yes you can get more steering than that with the XR10 mod, and zero ackerman too using wraith knuckles. Tire rub is really no big deal. I think every crawler I have had rubbed the links and or shocks with no ill effects.

Yes it increases by about 1/4 overall I believe. I might be off by a mm or 3.

The XR mod will not only get more steering but the scrub is way better. I have axles with both builds and while the XR is better, the CVDs with high clearance links is still very good. Even though you occasionally have to replace a pin. I wouldn't go changing just to change, but if building a new rig or something then I'd go with the XR mod.

Here is a pic of mine during mock-up. I did have to limit it some due to clearance issues though. Sent from the can using Tapatalk |

Scrub is something your going to want to search on. Others explain it better than me and it's a debate on if scrub is even better - you'll have to make your own mind up there. But the more scrub you have the more the wheels move forward and aft when turning. |

He's already on the shocks. More steering will make things worse no?

Xr mod adds 1/4" per side so you would gain that slight difference in width as usable space for the wheels to turn further.
