| what is a good servo upgrade for axial scorpion?
I have an axial scorpion that i want to upgrade the servo. Once i put some weight on my front end my steering sucks. Can anyone point me to a good upgrade? |

I'd recommend one with at least 300 oz of torque any brand, the steering servo really gets abused and if it's to small it will eventually fail. I like the JR8711 personally I've had one in my comp truck for 3 years. It's quite and never gets hot like so many others I've owned.

If you don't want to break to bank on a hi-end servo, we've sold tons of our 15kg metal gear servos. Not sure what happened to our vendor thread here about them, but here's a link to them on our website: CPE 15kg Metal Gear Servo |

I'm running a HiTec 7955TG....may be out of your budget. I will say, once you up the torque, you will likely want a BEC to directly feed the servo. Otherwise, you will have other issues. |

| https://www.troybuiltmodels.com/items/HS7954SH.html $79.95 with 403oz at 7.4v. It chatters a bit but other then that it works great and has plenty of torque to move the wheels on my heavy bully. |

Really good info i just need to figure out how much to invest at this time. I'm thinking maybe $100 / 150. Just started looking and there are a gazillion servos out there. |

| The lifespan is all you man. If you trash your servo, don't set up end points, fry it with over voltage, constantly operate at it's peak torque, it's life will be minimal...on the flip side if you use a 400oz servo for a dig servo, it'll last ages.

another vote for the hs-645mg hi tech servo. just dropped one into my crawler yesterday and it does just fine, add a metal servo horn and your good to go. bought my 645mg for $43.00 canadian.
