Default New gears for my xr10

Hi.
I'm new both here at rcc and at rc so I have a couple of questions.
This spring I got myself a XR10 and it's been real fun running it.
Last weekend I stripped the rear axle gears, so now I'm thinking of upgrading to hardened gears. But I haven't got a clue what to get. Can someone please point me in the right direction?

I also want to improve the steering (the tires are rubbing against the shocks) and the only way I can think of to avoid this is with some kind of spacer. But since english isn't my native language and I'm new to rc I don't know what to look for (what they are called). Or do you guys have any other suggestions.

Cheers!
