| Need help, building scale/ toy truck
Hey guys, since no one wants to build me a truck..i guess i will have to do it myself......i have nothing at all besides a nylint...and theres no hobby shops around so i will have to order every thing from the internet, Is this the right TLT kit...And if so will i have everything that i need besides a frame..to build a truck? http://www.hobbypeople.net/gallery/312774.asp |

I don't claim REMOTELY to be an expert, but that is the exact kit I was pointed towards by the experts. I guess the TLT "Max Climber" kit will also work (I *think* the only difference is in the body/rims, actually) ...

I like the swamp dawgs for mud and they seem to climb well to if you are planning on using a stampede tranny you will need that and what ever chasis you decide to use

look at the name of the tire. the max climber has a differnt battery location (doesn't matter) and beefed up axles, but you got the right kit. you will need tons more stuff, look in the stickey about how to build a tlt. iwould reccomend achassis were you don't need to biuld shock mounts. pede tranny lathe motor pede shafts x3 bags steel output yokes plastic output yokes body maxx or custom links maxx shocks traxxas ball ends radio system (TQ) waterproof speedo(mitronics) pede fronts a range of gearing tires hitec 645mg i reccomend bender sw2 link mounts and chassis. very high quality |

Ahh, cool. See, that's what experts are good for. Would the Max Climber work with the same chassis (say the SW2) as the standard TLT would, or are you just asking for trouble by fooling with it? |

I would suggest sending a PM to whomever you want to get a frame from and ask them to build you a roller and see what they will charge you. They will probably want the money up front though.

^^Good idea. There is a reason there are so many SW2's. They're freakin awesome! I'm 3 weeks away from owning one. Stupid bills....

Peejay's scale chassis and diaz chassis is also sort of a "scaler" frame..
