Default can a Mamba Max Pro run a Velineon 3500 VXL motor?

I would like to know if the Mamba Max Pro esc can run a Velineon 3500 VXL motor on 3S LiPo? I read somewhere that the MMP can run any brushless motor that is 540 sized. Is the VXL 3500 motor 540 sized?

The wires on the Velineon motor are color coded white, yellow, and blue. If the MMP works with the VXL 3500 motor, which color wire from the motor goes to which on the esc?

BTW, I can also run brushed motors with no limits on the MMP, right?

TIA.

The color code doesnt matter, if the direction is wrong, switch any 2 wires. The esc can handle brushed after you porgram it and hook the wires up correctly. If the vxl 3500 motor has a 3650 can "540 sized can" it will work.

Be careful with the 3cell and check the motor temp often. I'm running the MMP with a revtech 10.5 on 3cell in my slash and I'm having a tough time dialing it in. Gearing it helps but not enough I'm trying with the torque turned down next to see what happens with stock gearing as a starting point. Its crazy fast though.

If temps are high, gearing charts are your best friend. You next best friend is the program card. Put your timing down as far as you can go and that will help.

Heck, I'm running an original Mamba Max with a 2450 XL motor on 3s in my E-maxx and it doesn't even break a sweat. The MMP should handle that VXL motor no sweat. Absolutely check the gearing and temps the first time out.
