| hobby grade stuff on nylint
okay guys im new (of course) to rc cars and i was just curious. if i was to put hobby grade electronics on my nylint 1/6 does that do away with the circuit board and you just hook the motors and steering servo into the ESC or what? im good with real cars and bikes and quads but when it comes to this $hit i have no idea at all. much appreciated

Lime, there are a few threads in the nylint section about this very thing. It seems it makes them much better to up grade the electronics. There are also some nice threads about upgrading certain parts of the chassis to make them alot better for crawling etc. Take a look. Not to be disrespectful or anything but they do have a search function here. It seems to work pretty good and the info you will find will be up to date. I have used it a few times in the last few days myself and found alot of interesting info that was up to date. |

IMHO,it would be better to just build a TXT or a Twin force. You can polish a turd all day long,at the end of the day.....you still have a turd |

nylints are a great way to get into the hobby. the 1/6 really is okay w/o putting in electronics, but you really need to replace the battery. I loved my nylint and I know that for the money (at the time $50) it was a great truck. If I could find another at that price, I might be willing to get it for my son Once he gets really excited in crawling with his nylint and has learned the basics... he can move on to a TLT or bigger |
