Default Electronics mounting

If you guys had a flat piece of metal to mount your ESC, what do you all use other than servo tape? Lhs was sold out, I was thinking 3m body molding tape. I would prefer to not zip tie it down.

You mean the plastic Velcro? Tips on adhesive backing? Haven't had a lot of luck with Velcro in the past

Servo tape. Tape it down and zip tie it for a day or two.

Check grocery stores for 3M 2 sided removable tape. My local Giant sells it. It's the exact same tape Parma sells as servo tape.

Hot glue sucks..... Good for old lady's crafts and building interiors

Ca is good for tires to rims and deep cuts with razor blades......

Super volcro as in "3m dual lock"

Also servo tape works great.

I've mostly used servo tape in the past, I guess I'll just take a drive to find some.

If I can drill 2 holes fore and aft I use a zip tie. Holds solid and a snip and its free. No mess just another zip tie.

Automotive Amazing goop.. Found at ur local auto zone..
A small dab will do and it will peel off with a little effort, but won't allow anything to fall off.

It has 100's of uses for rc's.. I put it on high impact area's of my lexan body's, at the body mounting holes, to hold my 2.2p body panels on, servo guard on, scale goodies in my scalers, electronics in place, to hold my wheel wells in place, etc, etc, etc..
Doesn't leave a sticky residue behind if you have to peel it off or replace a part after you peel it away..

That's great! I have checked a local hardware store, there appears to be a few different variations, is the all purpose one what you are referring to?

The other options were marine, plumbing or household.

Thanks for the info.

I'll typically use a small dab of Goop, then a zip tie or two. Servo tape doesn't hold up well to playing submarine or big air.

What do you have against zip ties?

This is by far the best product I have ever used for mounting an ESC or other items. We use it in all our race trucks and I have never had an ESC move. If you need to remove the item as a later time, you can simply pry it up with a small screwdriver or other tool. To remove the tape itself from the bottom of the esc, peel up a corner and pull it along the surface, not straight up. Comes off easy and no sticky stuff left behind. Get this and never look back.
