| Vanquish axle parts question/help
I've been researching wraith axles a lot lately, and I've seen integy come up a few times for budget tight guys. But the vanquish axles are by far the best from what I've read, so I started researching them. The axles, c-hubs, and knuckles were easy enough to find, but I'm having a little trouble finding axle shafts. I found most of the other little things I would need on the vanquish website. But I shop via eBay for all of my stuff because there isn't a hobby shop within a 2 hour drive from where I live and I like PayPal. When I'm looking for the shafts, I'm finding individual front axle shaft pieces and rebuild kits from both eBay and the vanquish website. And Rear shafts aren't even found on eBay nor the vanquish website... Is this normal while looking for vanquish parts? I also read a thread where multiple members were having issues with the rear axle shafts not lining up correctly with the hexes, Mr. Hobby I believe was the author of the thread. Last post was several months ago, has anyone had any problems with the hexes since then? For reference, I'm looking for the vanquish currie axles VPS06621 and VPS06622. Thanks for any advise. |

Also, everything I looked up on the vanquish website showed to be out of stock. Every single thing I looked up.

Curries use stock rear axle shafts unless you go with the centered currie. It comes with upgraded shafts. As for the VVDs they are hard to find right now. Best to go with the axial universals.

Non currie vp housings also use stock wraith rear shafts and as for front vvd's there back ordered everywhere and if u can locate a set at the moment don't hesitate just buy them as if u hesitate you may miss them. There far superior to the rest and integy housings are cheap and brutal but that's my opinion

New question, I'm going with the normal off-center Currie axles. What size bearings do these axles use? I was told stock axle bearings wouldn't work and the the (new) axle I bought didn't come with any. Thanks |

If it didn't come with bearings it'll take all stock as per the manual. VPs AR60 V2 housing has bigger pinion bearings but it comes with those & I imagine they will eventually carry that over to V2 Currie & the new F9 housing. |

Cool. The axle part numbers are VPS06621 & VPS06622. Forgot to share that info. So normal bearings will still fit these?

I doubt i'll ever break them but i have the VP VVD's with 5mm Stubs (VPS07030) for my Wraith axles and for the life of me cannot find just the 5mm stub shaft so i hope the 4mm work if i do end up breaking them.

ebay can be a big let down for rc parts sometimes. People selling knock offs and just over all being shady. IMO RPP (a vendor on this site) is one of the best options for buying things. They only sell quality parts and ship extremely fast. Plenty of other vendors on here but my preference is rpp. |
