Default I did it again

I joined this forum a few years ago. I go through these stages where I think I NEED a crawler. Then when the time comes, I get on here, do all kinds of research, then go another direction.
The first time around, I got a bunch of scx10 parts, almost had it built, not as a scaler, but as a comp style rig, then got hooked on the Foff thing, tore it down, rebuilt it foff style, life got in the way, and I sold it.
So now, I come on here, ready for another one, trying to decide between comp and scaler and I find the damn Yeti, I went ahead and ordered a Yeti kit and it will be here Tuesday. So now I have almost a week to sit here wondering if i made another mistake, LOL

Buyers remorse is a bitch. Yes the Yeti was a mistake, kinda like the bad girl you'd never take home to meet mom. It's a fun mistake, just enjoy it.

there is always ebay. depending on how much you paid, you could get most if not all back
by parting it out. I have ended up with some wanted parts by buying a crawler and then parting out
what I did not want to keep.
it is all fun

it's one of those things that I REALLY want a crawler, but at the same time, I KNOW I'm going to spend more time building it than actually crawling with it. And if I ever get it "done" than I will probably get bored with it really quick, and then as usual the rustler will come out. But then there will be places I want to go , where the rustler can't go. The more I look at this from different perspectives, a wraith would probably be the best option for me, still sorta fast in certain conditions but still capable of climbing over some pretty wicked obstacles when needed. The wraith was just too far out of my price range.

What I paid for it is pretty weird, I just did a quick google shopping search on the yeti kit, and it seems like the average price is 329, including from RC Planet, which is where I bought mine. BUT, when I bought mine, they were listed at 279 instead of 329. On top of that, at the time, they had a 10 percent off code for everything on the sight. So I wound up paying 252 dollars with free shipping.
just looked and the cheapest one I found on ebay in the US is 300 shipped

I'm not complaining but how did I get it so cheap? Not that I got it yet, the invoice says Axial 1/10 Yeti 4WD Kit AXIAX90025, but is that really what I'm getting

maybe the rtr is the more expensive one. are you getting a radio too? electronics?
that might be the difference.

on another note, there is absolutely nothing wrong with having more than one vehicle
(not like wives) that way you can go anywhere and enjoy the outdoors.

They HAVE to legally give you that kit for that price. Unless their terms and agreements have a clause that they can refund the purchase in the event of a price listing error. A paid invoice is a binding contract...

Once you get it built and start driving it you'll love it. It's way more capable as your rustler and just as fast. Some thoughtful mods will make it bulletproof as well, but I'd try to leave as much stock as possible.

They were on sale recently. I paid $279 at Tower 2 weeks ago but they're back up to $329 right now. I bought a couple of other things at the same time so my order total was ~$420 which allowed me to use a $70 off coupon bringing the paid total down to ~$350.

I think if I'd bought the Yeti only the coupon would've been $30 off.

If I bought one from Tower today for $329 there's a $75 coupon so I'd only pay $254 so while you paid a good price, it's not hard to get them for around that.

It got here today, unopened box is sitting next to me and I'm not even sure if I want to open it. I should have saved up more and got a wraith. Which ironically NOW cost less than the yeti but when I bought the yeti earlier this week, the wraiths were more

sometimes the universe likes to tease people. all we can really do
is laugh and enjoy the irony.

I had a lot of rc's in my time, from clod busters to associated t3 to crawlers and the one I like the best is the wraith. It has a little bit of everything depending how you set it up.

Proline sells a Jeep, Ford Raptor, and a VW Bug for the Yeti.
