Brand new Bully RTR for $200

Would this be a good deal? I'm not trolling, I just don't know if it would be a good idea to get that kit just because it seems like it's a good deal or to buy it all in pieces.

I don't know much about crawlers yet and even less about MOA. A MRC Pro is all I've ever driven.

Im not sure. How can you tell? It doesn't say specifically, but say it has the V-chassis and Bully 2 axles.

I have been emailing them all day. It's a Chinese RC company but says that I would receive it in 5-15 days making me think they are stocked in the states.

They have all style Wraiths for around $250, SCX10's and Yeti's for $289.

I know, that is why I am so skeptical. I have been emailing their online sales rep, Emily Chen. She has been quick in replying and the replies do not seem to be computer generated. In the last one I sent, about an hour ago, I asked if it was an actual Bully Branded RC. I will let you know what she says.

Did you look at the prices on their Axial stuff? They are half the price you see on every other website.

She said they have both the RTR and kit in stock. The assembled kit is approx. $180 and the non assembled kit is approx. $150

Tapped out is saying that he added it to his cart and it said you need to spend $300 min to get wholesale pricing. Are these things really marked up that much?

One other thing, it says it doesn't not come with the body. Did they come with the body when they were not discontinued?

this is the bully 2.2 axles (v1 if you will)
it is the heavier axles and parts are becoming harder to find but still available
also still aftermarket vendors though getting rarer all the time

serious competing? no
messing around the backyard or trails? would work

let us know what you will do

Well, I would actually love to compete but it doesn't seem like there is much going on around my area in terms of comps. The scale thing is big but not comp crawling. I think I like the tinkering and building aspect of the sport more but I'm still new so that may change.

Could I eventually swap the axles and use the rest of the parts or does all that change when you make the swap?

I am going to see what they say when they reply, I'm hoping its an "overstock" type of thing but it's yet to be determined.

That's a scam if i ever saw one. They don't have 10,000 discontinued rtr's in stock. They don't have 10000 of anything.

the chassis is a bit heavy, the guys who used them to compete changed that out quick
the esc leaves a lot to be desired
motors are 10.00 cans, no rebuilding
radio is a 2 channel radio
shocks and links could be used if the new chassis was a close fit
wheels are nice tires are ok foams are soso

look at some of the older bully 2.2 builds to see what the guys were doing back then,
a lot of lightening on the axle cases, delrin tubes

since it is discontinued 200 bucks does not sound wrong if they bought out rc4wd's stock
for that price you could buy one, look it over, then part it out and sell it on ebay and
probably make some money if you were not in a big hurry.
m if you are using paypal you don't loose the money if it is a scam

let me know, I would buy the wheels and tires, maybe the shocks too.

Yes that scam checker was very interesting.

So yesterday I was firing emails back and forth with the company and getting prompt responses UNTIL I asked if they were true Bully rigs and it has been silent ever since. So I am inclined to think it is definitely a scam. It would be nice if it weren't but I don't have money laying around to gamble on it. 152 days old and a free email sounds shady to me....it's a shame we even need to worry about these things.
