a guy on facebook posted one he bought the other day, I had him open it up to check out the internals, it all looks pretty damn decent. I cant say at all how durable the gears and outputs are but it actually looked ok. I was looking at one too but I decided on Robinson racing gears and stock trans case instead.

I was looking to build a truck for my nephew. If the gears go they can be replaced. I just would hate to let the kid down if it broke down all the time.

I actually got a chanquish tranny in the mail the other and I'm fairly impressed! Yet to open it up and inspect the internals!

Do you have a link to the one you purchased?

Not a bad price for an alloy tranny, curious about if it does have all steel gears and if it'll fit my Wraith?

It doesn't look bad for the price. It's hit or miss with stuff coming out of China. Some is decent quality and some is just junk.

I have one that I bought for my daughter's truck. They are pretty nice considering they cost about the same as a take off stock SCX10 trans.

The good: Steel gears are much stronger than stock Axial gears, the steel slipper eliminator is bomb proof, the aluminum case is nice enough, everything spins very smooth, it is cheap

The bad: The gears require shimming since they have a good bit of side to side play, the bearings are cheap, different topshaft is required if you want to run a slipper, included gear cover rubbed on my driveshaft joints

Overall, it is a good buy. I don't know the limits of the abuse it can handle since I have it installed in a rather light and slow truck. For a heavy abuse truck with big power, I would still build a trans from better components.
