A 2.2 crawler is any crawler that uses 2.2" wheels.

dont get confused, people have been using clod axles and the "stick chassis" for 2.2 rigs. they just use 2.2 tires, and if competing you need a 12.5 wheelbase, and i think it cant be over 11" wide?

2.2 refferes to basically the size of the truck overall. 2.2 is the size of the crawler, but most crawlers that use them are relatively the same size. Usually 2.2 crawlers average in the 10" to 13" range. Longest it can go without violating a competition rule is 12.5". The most commonly 2.2 based rig used is the TLT. There are also some that use clod axles.

I see you're from NY, where about are you?

The basis definition of a 2.2 is a vehicle w/ a 12.5 W/B no wider than 12.5 inches.

2WD is standard.

Must use 2.2 inch wheels and tires w/ a maximum height of 6 inches.

Axles, chassis, and other parameters are up to the individual as long as it fits the class parameters.

Thats if you're competing in comps, though.

If you're building a screw around rig, it can be wider than 12.5" and longer wheelbase than 12.5.

the only thing that makes a 2.2 rig is the 2.2'' tires... you can basicly put anything else you want on it...
