Default Mudding with high end trucks

Do you guys run your nice trucks with all the fancy upgrades through the mud and muck, or do you have a chittier truck for that stuff.

I got all my 'fancy' upgrades for the sole purpose of surviving a good thrashing through the mud and muck! Here's my ~$1,200 worth of filthy parts:

I've played in the mud, muck, moss, n slush for years. Million bearings n random electronics I've seized and fried. Waterproof stuff too. I think I got it all out of my system because I avoid water n mud play anymore. I don't mind some tack dirt/trails but not water. It's fun for sure. But I've had my fill.

They get wet and muddy but I don't purposely drive them in deep water and mud. Like the 1:1 world, mud/water is more trouble than it's worth. To each their own though.

I've got to agree with trying to stay out of the mud and water - it does cause problems. I usually don't have much choice though, it rains about 120" (yes, ten feet) per year here so it's either drive in the wet or don't drive at all. Our 1:1 vehicles suffer as well.

Makes sense, more specifically whats your thoughts on driven through a couple few inches of snow? Will it ruin my rig? Referring to mechanical not electronic

water - okey, never submersable though (hey it's a car, not a submarine)
mud - fun
rain - awesome, although I worry more about my Tx (not waterproof, LOL) than my rig at this condition
dry ground and stones - almost each time

If you have a stock trunk and you want to start upgrading, go ahead and run full speed into some mud and deep water

That's exactly how I fried my glitchy Novak ESC and had to get a MMP. Best f-up ever!

Without mud, there would be no reason to own a crawler.

I have a couple "nice" trucks that don't see mud/sand/deep water, but most of them get dirty.

Playing in snow isn't a truck killer per-se. It's the corrosion that forms on the hardware/drivetrain as things dry out that wreaks havoc over time. Using a blow gun to dry after playing, followed by lubing bearings/drivetrain will keep the truck happy.

Too bad we can't send you our extra water. Here's what happens to my crawl pit every time we get a couple inches of rain. It's hard to see with the glare but there's about 18" of water in there. Maybe I should get an RC boat too

My wife and I brought the kids to Kauai this year for the holidays.... I should have packed an rc or two, some fantastic terrain here, especially up the canyon. My first time on this island and the west coast has absolutely the best scenery I have seen in many years. Those Jurassic Park views are no joke!!

I personally avoid water but some mud is alright i guess. Just keep up to date with maintenance of the trucks and waterproof electronics as much as you can
