| Shock oil
Hi guys. I thought I would have my first go at changing the shock oil etc, which went well. But when I finished I realised that I use petroleum shock oil, not synthetic oil. What is the difference between them, and will it be ok for my Axial shocks? Thank in advance. |

My shocks haven't had any oil in them since 2011. I think you'll be fine.

RC shocks usually use silicone rubber O-rings and bladders - they can be adversely affected by Petroleum oils..... Also, silicon (synthetic) shock oil isn't as affected by temperature changes.
