Spacer question

I bought a deadbolt and noticed there is a spacer between transmission and spur gear. What is that for ? I had never seen this before. I bought it used.

Slipper eliminator?

Re: Spacer question

Yes, probably running the stock plastic optional slipper eliminator, much better than with slipper. LockedUpRC sells a nice one too.

Re: Spacer question

So what is it? I never had one of these it's like aluminum . Not plastic

Re: Spacer question

Not the slipper eliminator, you can see the slipper spring and discs still there. Pretty sure it's just to pull the slack from the input shaft. I bought a trans from eBay recently and that's how it came. I believe it used to be just 3 plastic spacers.

Re: Spacer question

So it there any way to bring it back to normL length? If you notice the spur gear on the motor has to be out front also. It works fine but just looks very different from the other 2 scx10s I've had.

Re: Spacer question

Is there slipper pads on both sides? Could be 32p top shaft with 48p spur and single pad setup? Tbh not really sure now

Check axial website for the manual, I would link it or look myself but at work breaking rules playing around on rcc lol

Re: Spacer question

That is ax31180, top shaft spacer for 32p trans. Totally normal bit of plastic for your deadbolt. But after looking at my wraith manual I will say yours does look a little off, like maybe there is an extra spacer behind that one

But the spacer isn't plastic it's metal.

Re: Spacer question

Metal/plastic it's supposed to be there lol. Deadbolt has the updated trans with 32dp pinion/spur gears, same as my wraith spawn. But looking at that picture something looks off I will say that

Re: Spacer question

Well my trany is mirrored maybe that?

moondaddy 08-09-2017 11:25 PM

Re: Spacer question

supposed to be there if it was a wraith i guess.....it should have AX30499 trans spacer in it. axial has it listed for $7. It could be that you need the wraith spacer if you mirror but ive never looked into it. wish someone smarter than me would chime in

Lol but thanks for at least chiming in bud . I'm sure someone will know on here. But like I said it all works perfect just wondering what it is and I want to upgrade my tranny gears and want to know if I can with this thing on here.

Oh ok but is there a reason for it? Just wondering on that.

The slipper on the deadbolt is not the same at the slipper on the dingo kit, and they didn't change the top shaft length to make up for the changes. Thus the spacer
