Default Charging?

Hi all I’m super new to rc and bought a axial scx10 ll for my son we bought a protek 3600 mah battery and a protek prodigy 610ez charger for it i was about to go ahead a charge it up for Christmas morning but this thing is like another language to me and i’ve heard you have to be very careful with lipo batteries. long story short i just im not sure what settings to use on this charger etc any help would be appreciated

Have not used that particular charger, but they all work about the same. You need to set voltage on the charger to the pack you're charging. If it's a 2cell Lipo, it will be 7.4v. If its 3cell it will be 11.v. Then set the mah to the packs spec - in your case 3600. Be sure to connect the balancing lead on the pack to the chargers balancing lead as well. Also, you're going to want to store Lipos at roughly 30% charge, and in a fire safe container. Lipo charging and storage bags are available. I store mine in a surplus ammo container.

Do not charge up and leave charged, it damages lipos. Charge up morning of and and make sure it is set to balance (not charge). It will make the cells all be the same which prolongs the battery life. And as mentioned always store in a lipo fireproof bag.
