Default Speed control?

Okay me and my kids all got a mad torque from exceed. I know, cheap. Two of them will go full speed forward but not reverse, you experts think it would be the speed control? Trim doesn't fix the issue on he controller.

I was also going to note to make sure that its in reverse mode, but dowloaded the instructions for this and doesnt seem to have much in the way of programming. Probably need to do what magic recommended. Seems you need to try and calibrate. But im not even seeing reverse mentioned in teh manual :(

how many did you get and do any of them go in reverse? the manual doesn't seem to indicate reverse at all, just forward, slow down and brake...

Looks like I may have found it. From the comments on this video. Try the steps and see. It does mention it has "reverse function" on nitrorcx's site.

I haven't had the chance to run my 1/8 Exceed Mad beast. And when I tried to to run it, it doesn't want to go forward nor reverse. I tried to reset the ESC by pressing Set key and run through three modes. After that I only made it go forward with brake but no reverse. And I tried looking for the answer on internet and then I stumbled across you channel where I actually purchased the rc truck. I followed the steps from the video and it did work ^^ I bought my rc last year in September and I am very careful with it try not to break anything including internal parts and electronics. Thanks for this video it did help me a lot fixing my 1/8 Exceed Mad Beast

We have three. They all used to go the same speed forward and back. 1 still does. Mine now goes way slower in reverse and my daughters barely moves in reverse and gets all jumpy. I figured I'd ask before I go swapping parts out

Old thread but yes. Bought a hobby wing esc still did weird stuff, bought a tactic receiver and controller, didn’t even work, sent it back. Ordered a Futaba and it works but same thing. Slow in foreward and even slower in reverse. If it matter, battery is at 7.1 volts and at the motors, forward is 3.5 and reverse is 1.7. Only other thing is motors but that seems weird. Kid are getting back into it and I wanna buy some new crawlers but it annoys me that this should be so simple and I can’t figure it out
