| How to get a wide tire look
After finally getting a job and having money again. I can afford to paint a new body, and I decided to paint up a axial 67 c10 body. I ordered some ssd 8 hole beadlocks to go along with my proline talk tires. And I'm wondering how people get the really fat look on there tires. If someone could point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it.

1.9 tires and 2.2 rims. So I've heard. |

Is that hard or not to bad? I've mounted both sizes of tires before with no problems but I've never tried stretching them.

Depends on what you are after for your look... I love me the rc4wd deep dish rims, though they are challenging to mount some proline tires on. Vaterra tsl's mounted here. LURC rims and a single widener... Proline "1.9" boggers. And old school 2.2 "Wraith" bead locks, Proline 2.2 Tsl's... |

The look I'm going for is like on old school trucks where the side wall is really round. I haven't really seen anything to compare it to in the rc world. I'll download a hosting sight tomorrow at work and then I'll upload a picture to show what I mean.

Grab a set of 1.9 pitbull xors and wrap them around 2.2 rims, they're the widest 1.9 tire on the market Sent from my SM-G975W using Tapatalk |

This was the look I wanted with my Bronco, but could not get the rims to hold a bead! |

To give you an idea, the rc4wd rims are about 5mm narrower than the Lurc rims and the steel rim does not hold the bead like the Lurc wheel either. It had a very light grip on the tire bead and needed to be wider imo.

Lockedup RC has widening rings for their wheels. They add about 1/4 inch to the width. Makes a big difference. Not only that but they have some of the best looking and best made wheels going in my opinion.
