| Starter build questions
First off hello all and great site. I've got tons of info, actually too much my heads starting to spin a bit. I actually got hooked on RC cralwers last week and I am going to attempt my first build. What I would like to do is replicate or as close to my actuall Jeep. Im looking for suggestions on starter chasis that are upgradable, cost is an issue but not the real factor as much as performance. I started off looking at the brusier chaser but what I can see is its leaf sprung? I couldnt find any direct use of a 4 link or 3 link set up on that chasis. My idea intial set up would be 4 link front and 3 link rear, I just started looking at axles but a goal of mine as well as performance would be to keep the replica as realistic as possible so axles as of now are my next research project. I have yet to get into the electronics side of everything But I am sure I will need to research that quite a bit when it comes time for axles as I am worried that some parts might be dependant on certian electronics. Thanks Dave |

Welcome, I would recommend a TLT with an aftermarket 4 link chassis. Later you can build a scale chassis and transfer the axles, etc. over to it. I have a CJ7 and built a TLT crawler to look like it.
