Any 4 inch shock will work well.

Maxx shocks are very inexpensive and work well.

Associated and Losi rears are also very good shocks.

Hot Bodies has nice aluminum shocks recommended by TCS for the NN.

And JP Custom RC has nice shocks for a great price as well.

Good luck!

What a helpfull post

4" shocks are the norm, the NN chassis works best with them.

Try here:http://www.jpcustomrcs.atomicshops.c...ge/4457879.htm

Dez beat me to the info.

depending on the rig they came off of Losi shocks are from 4.25 to 3.25

also because the way they are designed they will take up to 10 times the side loading before they bind.

they are the best shock to use. tested and proven

The Losi rear shocks off of the XXX AND XXXT are indeed extremely nice shocks, some of the best in the business, but they are not the only option available.

Sometime price and availability come into play and other options are needed.

Max shocks w/ this mod are very effective, inexpensive, and perform extremely well.

This mod is from the Reign Industries J2-TT build sheet.

I use Maxx shock with mine. The mod mentioned above works great with the Maxx shock. What about springs? The stock ones that come on the Maxx are a little stiff. What would you all recommend for springs?

personally i like shocks that mount up cleanly with fuel tubing stuff

Jp Customs has the best ones on this forum to my taste and to alot of others since i see they have been recomending them to you.

the other ones that are awsome shocks but he is not a vendor here but hte shocks are great i have 8 of them 4 on the xrc and 4 on the sw2, since my jp custom shocks are m.i.a., i will put them back on my sw2 once they are back.

the other link is

http://rgmotorsports.net/contact.php

they are gpm 4 inch shocks an they have ball ends on both sides big plus

Losi springs seem to be the most popular, Losi whites or yellows up front (666 also found a set of Integy springs that have even softer springs than the Losi whites) w/ oranges in the rear.

I actually liked to use the the standard Max springs in the rear, but it is more personal preference than anything.
