Default steering damper/stablizer

i saw someone post a how to make a damper/stablizer... but cant find it.. anyone have a link or know how to make one?

Just use a small shock, remove the outer coil spring and put some 70 or 80 weight shock oil in it. Should work just like a steering damper, but why would you need or want to dampen it? Unless your doing it for a scale look. if that's the case, don't run any oil in it.

I'm new to his but it seems scale looks is the only reason to do it, some sort of springed servo saver would be a better option for an rc car if you have to do it other than for looks.
