I charged my Elite 1500's at 0.5 amps the first time. After that I found they got too hot on anything over 1.5 amps.

The first few charges on a new pack I have done @ .5 amp and the next bunch has been around .8 to 1.0 amp. I have never tried anything more then a 1amp charge. But... that is me. (I have 4 x elite 1500 6 cell packs for my Micro RS4) |

My rule of thumb is that I charge them for what they are: a 1100 pack 1.1 amps, 1500 pack 1.5, 2200 pack 2.2, 3700 pack 3.7, 8000 pack 8. Make sence?

Like 666 said, after the first charge to get the limit set, charge at 1C, i.e. 1.5 for a 1500 and so forth. It's will keep your packs lasting longer, and don't forget to discharge them regularly as well. Discharging...something you don't do with LiPo's... |
