Found two different types, not sure if they were different options, or they changed through time, your choice.

Here is a 1957 B-61 with sleeper:

and here is a 1965 Mack B61 with sleeper:

the 57> the 65

SMUDGEBUG 07-30-2009 04:05 PM

I like the 57 but that rear side window on the sleeper cab looks odd ? But I like the 65 a little more. I say build em both LOL

binaryterror 07-31-2009 06:38 AM

The 65 looks like a non-sleeper that someone put a sleeper from the 70/80 behind.

Yeah...and it looks outta place. It doesn't match the curves of the cab at all.

im thinking whole frame side is newer and cab was fabbed onto it. Wheels give it away.

my vote would go for the Red '57 but ill watch either one, I like the detail and styrene work you do on these scale tractors.

rottenbelly 07-31-2009 05:59 PM

I wont be home for 25 days or i would go get a pic of it!!!

You've got some mad skills Joe!! That is art in styrene.

I should have taken more pictures when I was in Bogota last time. Down there you'll see 50's and early 60's Macks, GMCs, Whites, etc., all kinds of old trucks that are still on the road hauling freight and making money every day. Many of them have obviously been very well taken care of over the years too...

SEMIJOE 08-06-2009 05:52 PM

hey thnx man!!

SEMIJOE 08-06-2009 05:56 PM

i had to make few changes but i think i got it now
ive added an inner fire wall.this will have a lifted hood on it

Very nice,Joe.Work of art."thumbsup""thumbsup""thumbsup"

Are you going to bring the cab closer to the ground? The 1:1's i have seen and similar trucks from that era are relatively low compared to other, more modern, trucks.

you are correct about them be alittle lower.what it is ,is that its not the cab thts lowered its the suspension thats to high.i noticed that the tire are above the frame rails and tha cab still sits on top the frame rails

SEMIJOE 08-07-2009 08:53 AM

the fender will be a 2 part build just like the 1:1 truck
there is an inner fender which is more then half the fender
then there is an outer which is where the big curve is
this will also make my build easier
tell ya watching a 1:1 being built make it a whole lot easier
